Day 10 - Trip to Governors Island and Roosevelt Island

We started today by getting breakfast at a bowl and smoothie store. The bowls are the first really healthy food we ate in NewYork.

After breakfast it was time to wash our clothes. We did not do this ourselves and went to a laundry. We went to different laundries and finally brought our laundry to an Asian, which is near our apartment. We were told that we could pick up our clothes the next day. This was perfect for us.

Since Adrian was in NewYork for the last day at this day, we decided to visit Governors Island together with him. Governors Island is a 70 hectare island, which lies in the Upper New York Bay. On it are cute little villages and you have a very nice view of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline of the Financial District.
After walking once around the island, we enjoyed nachhos in a small restaurant and then went back to shore with the Faire.

When we arrived at home, we said goodbye to Adrian, who had the flight the same day, and went home. A short time later, Tamara, our supervisor, picked us up. Together we took the tramway to Roosevelt and enjoyed the sunset there.
As soon as it was dark we drove back and got us something for take away and ate this together at home.
