Day 20 – Harry Potter store

Today it’s a little warmer than it was the last few days. It was about seventeen to twenty-one degrees and we were able to dress lighter. This morning the boys, Philippe and I (Simon) went to the office in Chinatown in the meantime the girls with Tamara stayed home to edit the video for the Swiss embassy. At noon we headed to Chipotle to eat and like last time the food was very good. After lunch we wanted to go for coffee and noticed that in front of Chipotle was Starbucks so I could try the “flat white.” In the afternoon Tamara joined us and we had a quick startup project meeting to show him our progress.

Around 5 p.m. after finishing work we went to the Harry Potter Store which is located near the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park. The store has more than 20,000 square feet where visitors can look at and purchase Wizarding World merchandise. One of the areas that impressed me the most is the one with the magical wands. There are whole cabinets full of wands like Olivander’s store in Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter stories. Another place I really liked is the majestic griffin in the center of the store. To finish we went to the “candy section” which is full of all kinds of sweets from the franchise, before leaving the store I could not miss buying the every flavor beans.

Once we got home Sven and Florin started preparing the meat to make “Gehacktes und Hörnli”. While we waited, until it was ready we had fun trying the every flavor beans and guessing the different flavours. After a long adventure in the kitchen the dinner was finally ready and it was delicious.
