Day 4 – Central Park

On day 4 of our trip, we began by having a homemade breakfast at our accommodation.

For lunch, we decided to cook pasta with a tomato sauce. However, our plans for the day were quite tight as we had a meeting scheduled with our friends, Constantin and Adrian, at Times Square at 2:30 pm. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we couldn’t make it to the rendezvous on time. As a result, we ended up meeting Constantin at Times Square at 4 pm. In the meantime, Adrian decided to explore Gouverneur Island, likely due to the delay in our meeting.

Times Square

When we finally arrived at Times Square, we felt hungry, so we decided to dine at Popeyes. While at Times Square, we also noticed that it was possible to rent a billboard for a short 15-second display, which cost $40. We discussed the idea of potentially trying this out at a later time, especially during the evening when the billboard’s visibility would be better.

Central Park

Given our flexibility with our schedule, we made the decision to visit Central Park. Our visit to this iconic New York City park was quite enjoyable, and we managed to capture some fantastic photographs along the way.

Our exploration of Central Park began with a visit to “The Lake,” one of the park’s picturesque bodies of water. Here, we took in the serene surroundings and, of course, took some memorable photos to commemorate the moment.

From there, we continued our adventure by making our way to the Belvedere Castle. This architectural gem within Central Park provided us with some stunning views of the park and its lush greenery. Naturally, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to snap some photos of this impressive structure and its surroundings.

Our final stop in Central Park took us to the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, which happens to be the largest lake in the park. As we strolled around the reservoir, we were treated to beautiful vistas and the chance to capture more scenic shots.

Adding to the charm of our Central Park excursion, we even had the pleasure of encountering some of the park’s wildlife. We spotted squirrels, known for their playful antics, as well as a raccoon, adding an unexpected and delightful wildlife encounter to our day in the park.
